Chris Donovan is a documentary photographer based in Saint John, NB (Wolastokuk). His work focuses on the complex intersections of community and industry and explores issues of identity and the socio-economic structures of industrial capitalism. His work has been recognized by the World Press Photo Awards, POYi's Environmental Vision Award, and the Scotiabank New Generation Photography Award. His work has appeared in solo exhibitions across Canada and group shows in more than 40 countries. He holds an MFA in Documentary Media from Toronto Metropolitan University, where he is also currently a PhD student in Media and Design Innovation.
