PRINT 4 Ukraine is an INITIATIVE of
CANADIAN and Ukrainian PHOTOGRAPHERS
IN SUPPORT OF UKRAINE
FUNDRAISER
On February 24, 2022, Russia launched its full-scale invasion of Ukraine. Nine months into this war and winter approaching, Ukraine needs our help more than ever. The photo print fundraiser Print 4 Ukraine was organized to raise money for Ukrainian relief organizations. Led by Ukrainian-Canadian photographers Kyler Zeleny, Anya Chibis and Marta Iwanek, Becca Gilgan and Eugen Sakhnenko and supported by 58 documentary, fine art, and commercial photographers from across Canada who donated their prints to the fundraiser, in addition to Ukrainian colleagues from across Ukraine. Smokestack Studios, based in Hamilton, Ontario, donated all printing costs. The fundraiser was promoted across social media platforms, newsprint, and in person by everyone involved. The public was asked to make a $100 CAD contribution to one of the listed grassroots and established organizations working in Ukraine in exchange for an 11x14 archival quality open edition photographic print. The fundraiser took place from October 1 to November 5, 2022, and has helped raise over $20 000 CAD.
Fundraiser is NOW CLOSED
We HAVE raised over $ 20 000 CND for ukrainian organizations!
