About the photograph: “Rockyford, Alberta, 2013”

This photograph was used as the cover image for ALBERTA BOOK published by RMB in 2018. It’s part of series documenting the architectural heritage of Alberta. Works from the ongoing project were first exhibited in a solo exhibition Startling Ordinary: Architecture of the Canadian Prairies at The Art Gallery of Hamilton in 2002. At the time of the exhibition Curator Tobi Bruce wrote: “The photographs are a rare blend of art and documentation. Webber’s connection to the places he photographs is palpable, his interpretations are direct, sincere and invested with a sense of history and intimacy. Haunting, touching, evocative and enigmatic, these images occupy a place somewhere between everywhere and nowhere.”
